If you have already been a summer camp counsellor you can return through us whether or not you originally went through IEP New Zealand!
Summer Camp USA Returning staff make more money!
Why? Because we are the only summer camp program that lets you keep all your wages. In other words, no agency fee will be taken out of your pay.
As a returning counsellor you'll be earning more than the standard first-timer rate. You are free to negotiate your pay with your Summer Caamp and can receive a salary of up to US$2,200.

Program fee: $295
USA Visa Fee
Visa Fee: $US140
SEVIS Fee: $US35
Insurance
As part of working in the USA as a Summer Camp USA Counsellor you must have travel insurance. Our visa sponsor requires that everyone on our Returner program gets program insurance through us. Contact us 0800 443 769 to find out about insurance options and costs.
Insurance - 3 month policy: $500
Proof of Funds
To be allowed to enter the USA on the J-1 visa for Summer Camp you must show proof of funds of $US600.
Proof of funds is a required amount of savings you will need to prove you can support yourself upon arrival.
Flights
As a Returner you are able to book your own flights to get to Camp. We do recommend that you talk to our in-house STA Travel agent. Our agent is committed to ensuring you get a great price and the schedule that suits your requirements. Step two: Get a contract from Camp
Step three: Get a reference on our reference form
Step four: Complete the online application form (much shorter than your first year!)
Step five: Send us a photocopy your previous J1 visa and passport, a reference and copy of your contract.... then leave the rest to us!
