Insurance

US immigration law requires those travelling on a J-1 visa to have comprehensive travel insurance by an approved travel insurer for the duration of the visa.  A condition of our Work USA Plus program is that all participants must enroll for the travel insurance cover  provided by our visa sponsor, International Exchange North America (IENA).  Details of the IENA policy will be sent to you after your application has been received or contact IEPat 0800 443 769 for more details.

Proof of Funds

To be allowed to enter USA on a 12 month J-1 visa you must show a proof of funds of $US1,000 if you arrive with a job offer and $US2,000 without a job offer.
