What can I do?

You can help educate children, teach adults about the threat of AIDS and HIV, use your skills on building projects or help out at a wildlife sanctuary. There are so many options - there will definitely be something that suits you.

What makes IEP Volunteer different?

An Established approach. Our parnter BUNAC was established in 1962 and is today recognised as a specialist provider of work abroad, travel abroad and volunteer abroad programmes.

A personal approach.  At IEP we believe that each volunteer work participant should be treated as an individual. All participants will attend a one-to-one Orientation Interview in Auckland where we'll talk about your skills, likes and dislikes to ensure that you get placed on an overseas volunteering project that specifically suits you. We'll discuss every aspect of your trip including health and safety to ensure you're as well prepared as possible.

A local approach. We believe that the best way to experience a country is to fully immerse yourself into the culture and community. Our volunteer abroad programmes give you the perfect opportunity to do just that by living within a local community. Taking time to share stories and life experiences, learning some of the local language and enjoying the locally cooked food will contribute to a unique and memorable overseas volunteering experience.

A responsible approach. It is fundamental to IEP Volunteer that our programmes actively benefit the local environment and communities in which they operate. We place volunteers in existing projects, working alongside local people. We work with local partners for all our volunteering programmes, which means that you'll receive support from the people who know the country the best.

An affordable approach. As a not-for-profit organisation, IEP Volunteer’s primary concern is to ensure you have a worthwhile and memorable volunteer abroad experience. Our programmes are competitively priced and we're proud of the fact that on average 70% of the programme cost that you pay to us will go straight to the developing world.
